But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
(Revelation 9:20)
In a world scarred by plagues, their hearts remained cold,
Unmoved by the ruin, they clung to their gold.
Demons and idols, lifeless they stood,
Worshiped by hands, in stone, brass, and wood.
Eyes that can’t see, ears that can’t hear,
They ignored the signs, held tight to their fear.
The heavens wept, yet they did not repent,
Lost in their ways, their spirits unbent.
