Angel of the Pit

And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.

(Revelation 9:11,12)

From the depths of the pit where shadows loom,
Apollyon rises, herald of doom.
King of despair, his reign of dread,
Where angels fear, and demons tread.

One woe is past, the earth mourns its loss,
Yet two more woes will pay the final cost.
The trumpet sounds, the skies ignite,
Prepare, for darkness follows light.
