The Waters Struck

Third Trumpet:
Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

Revelation (8:10,11)

Then the third angel’s trumpet blared on high,
A blazing star fell from the twilight sky.
Like a torch, it seared the rivers’ veins,
Wormwood, its name, brought forth bitter pains.

A third of waters turned to poison’s snare,
Springs of life now death’s cruel lair.
Men perished from the bitter draught,
Their lives by Wormwood’s curse were caught.
