The Seas Struck

Second Trumpet:
Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

(Revelation 8:8,9)

Upon the ocean’s vast expanse, a trumpet’s call resounds,
A great mountain aflame, into the waters bounds.
The sea, once serene, now wears a crimson hue,
As life within its depths bids a somber adieu.

Creatures of the deep, now swept by death’s embrace,
Ships, once proud, now vanish without a trace.
In the wake of this trumpet’s mournful song,
The seas are struck, and sorrow reigns strong.
